7 days of food for Phase 2 on HCG

I spend a lot of time at work; the last thing I want to do is think about what I'm taking for lunch. But let's face it, while on the HCG diet you have to be aware of everything you eat. Now, I know I'm not the only one out there on the HCG diet who works. In fact, we constantly see people on Facebook asking for a more detailed meal plan so they can prepare food the night before.

Well, HCG Triumph hasn't released an official Phase 2 weekly meal plan yet, but I have my own that I'd be more than happy to share. Below is an image of the actual document (click to make it bigger!). Feel free to e-mail me at Lowery@hcgdiet.com for a downloadable PDF version.

I'm not very creative with my meals. I like food that's easy to grab as I'm headed out the door. You'll notice that I also have broccoli on my menu. This is listed under the additional vegetables section on page 10 of the HCG Triumph Guide Book. It has never made me gain, and I prefer it over asparagus. If it doesn't work for you, substitute it for something else! I also put tomato on my lettuce or spinach with no problems. The recipe for spinach chips can be found here, and the recipe for phase 2 chili can be found here. Hope this helps some of you out!

As for my progress, I'm R1P2D16. I've lost 22 lbs. This has been one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's so worth it though. Every liter of water, every bad day that goes untreated with chocolate is more weight gone and more confidence in myself. I'm staying positive, eating healthy, and getting closer to my goal weight!

Tell me what you think of my meal plan in the comment section below!

  4. Great job! Menus are a pain in the rear for me. The worst for me on this diet I think is shopping for food. I have to get everything for myself *and* make sure I have other delicious nutritious things for my husband. He has been very kind though and has complied to my diet in a way, basically eating the same things as me but eating a bit more. He usually adds a bit of cheese, or some pasta, and sometimes boils up some potatoes for himself on the side (not all of these things at once! haha).
I'm on R2P2D16 and down 10 pounds which is about par for my weight loss (comparing to R1). I am so tickled for you that you're losing so much so fast. Congratulations, lady! You deserve it :-)

  9. Hello, i'm a little confused. On the original HCG protocol it does allow broccoli? And, what are spinach chips?

  10. How about the shakes? the meal replacements do you prefer the vanilla or chocolate? I hate the meals they have listed so its easier for me to replace 2 meals

    1. I actually like both the same. It just depends on my mood. Lately I've been using chocolate more often than vanilla, though. As for replacing two meals, you really shouldn't do that. You won't hit your 500 calories. You can replace one meal but not both. :)

    1. It's best to follow the protocol as it's laid out. Your body need the nutrients and fiber that come from the fruits and vegetables.

  12. I've been doing this diet for almost 3 weeks now and have lost maybe around 10lbs. I don't even lose half a pound per day, let alone 1 to 1.5 lbs.
I eat exactly as the diet suggests, but it's not working and I'm very close to giving up. what do I need to change? I need to lose around 25 more pounds. :(

    1. What kind of drops are you taking?

    2. Also, what was your starting weight?

    3. HCG drops! I don't understand what you mean by what kind of drops.
I was at 1602 and I'm at 152 after around 4 weeks. Is this even normal?

  13. I drink all the water told to drink while on r1p2 every time I get on the scale its more weight. When should I weight myself. Also how much lettuce can I eat? Does it matter?

    1. You should only weigh yourself once per day in the morning before you eat or drink anything. A serving of lettuce is 1-2 cups.

  15. So, I'm going to give it anther shot. almost 2 years ago, I did this diet and lost about 50 lbs very easily; I was losing almost 2 lbs a day!

ever since then, I've tried it a few more times, but the results wasn't like the first round. And I think it's because the drops I bought perhaps weren't the right ones. I think they didn't have a hormone or something.

Are these HCG drops have a the hormone? I'm a student who doesn't make a lot of money!!! And I don't wanna buy something and go through the hardship but don't get a result I'm looking for--again!!!

    Could you help me please?

    1. HCGDiet.com offers drops with and without the hormone. I've tried both. Both helped me lose 1-2 pounds per day. They sell quality drops called HCG Triumph. It's a quality brand. :)

  16. hi. I am really confused. I want to start the HCG diet and have found several sites that list the diet protocal, however what they say to do are different depending on the site you look at. One site says you do not stop the drops at all until you get to phase 3 (because this only pertains to if you are getting injections of the HCG). One site says you can't take any supplements/vitamins (like the triumph slim shake or any vitamins that contain vitamin A, D, or E). Another site says that for a 40 day phase 2 diet, you should only do a phase 3 for 3 weeks if you have a second round of dieting to do, where on this site, it says to take 6 weeks in phase 3 if you did a 40 day phase 2. I am really confused as to what to do. Please help! thanks

    1. Hi Connie,
You always want to follow the protocol specific to the brand of drops. For instance, the HCG Triumph drops I use, come with a guidebook that is probably a little different from injections, but that is because the formula is different from the injections and that protocol has been written for that formula. Does that make sense?

Also, if you find a site saying you shouldn't take vitamins, that is absolutely inaccurate. You NEED vitamins on this diet because you aren't getting a lot of them from the little you eat. As long as they are not oil based, you can pretty much take whatever you need. I strongly recommend a good food-based multivitamin. I have found from my experience, that it is best to do Phase 3 for at least as many days as you were in Phase 2. This allows enough of a break for your body to have success when you do your next round.
